Here's the book I spoke about on a recent episode of the Gweek podcast, Paul Has a Summer Job, by Michel Rabagliati. It's a sweet and funny story, well told with interesting and appealing artwork. I decided to give it a try based on Dan Kois's rave about Rabaliati's work in Slate: You Will Fall in Love with Michel Rabagliati's Beautiful Autobiographical Comics.

These Fantagraphics reprints of the Carl Barks Donald Duck/Uncle Scrooge comics are the gold standard for reprint publications -- which is an embarrassment of riches because the underlying material is the gold standard for cartooning. Some of the best comic book items ever produced, I can't Recommonday them enough.
