(I'm not sure Tim Burton can top this for sheer nightmare potential. I may be swayed by the fact that I keep accidentally pausing it on the rabbit. Agh.)

Oh Avril, You Speak to the Heart of My Soul! Or Something!

Disney has released some sort of music video to promote their new "Alice in Wonderland" movie by Tim Burton. I'm not sure how Avril Lavigne has circumvented the aging process, but I'm impressed. I also don't know how she manages to continuously sing notes that make my skull hurt, but she does that too. One might consider watching with the sound down. It's your skull, though.

OK, OK. Everyone calm down. I know. I know. That was very funny ... but we have to move on.

Let's be serious for a second, can we, folks? I shouldn't tell you this but my contract with the syndicate says I can only endorse one plush comic character a quarter. But you know what? I don't care. I'm going to endorse Poncho for at least the next two quarters! See you in court, Salem!

You know why I'm willing to risk litigation and incur extravagant legal bills? It's because Paul Gilligan is a dynamite guy, an unbelievably talented writer/artist and his Pooch Cafe is an amazing comic. And his plush Poncho could not be cuter.

And I love cute things, just ask Kate Beckinsale. I can't because of the restraining order.

Cake-ity, Cake Cake Cake

Hey, continuing with the 40th Anniversary festivities, check out this cool cake that AMU's own Kodi Mallet (in white sweater in bottom right of photo montage) made.

And for all of the naysayers out there who said it was impossible to make a cake with at least one character inspired by the comic "Tom the Dancing Bug featuring Billy Dare Boy Adventurer and his sidekick Quentin," you've just been handed your lunch. And after you've finished your lunch, let's have cake! Woo-hoo!
