I would watch this movie. Because if Tim Burton's name on it, I will hand over my money and sit quietly in a dark room for hours while going "I am vaguely disappointed by this, but I cannot stop watching."

It's worth noting that I don't understand *anything* about what is going on in this video, but I cannot stop watching it. Also, "ShutterBox" and "Reality Check!" creator Tavisha Wolfgarth-Simons appears in costume as Kiki from Miyazaki's "Kiki's Delivery Service."

Congratulations to Richard Thompson & Cul De Sac

It's been revealed that Richard Thompson and his transcendent Cul De Sac have been nominated for the National Cartoonists Society Reuben Award. The Reuben, of course, is the top peer-elected award in our industry.

Now, I can think of some comics that might be AS worthy as Cul De Sac, but few if any, that are more worthy. Congrats, Richard. We're awful proud to be associated with this great feature and even more to be associated with you ... a helluva great guy.

Regis, Ripa Wax on Wonderword

What's the latest word puzzle that's grabbing the cognoscenti by the horns and massaging their brains? Why it's Wonderword. The terrific word search game by David Ouellet.

And, case in point, noted talk show hosts Reg & Kelly (call me, if you read this BTW) were chatting on their show sometime in the recent past and they were delighted to be featured in an upcoming week's puzzle. 

Well that was just the start of the hi-jinx that day, later in the show special guest Joe Theismann told a great story about when he went fishing and lost his gloves. It was poignant television. 

BTW: I do want to dispel the rumors that Corey Pandolph thought "cognoscenti" was a curled Italian pasta.
